Some of Hawaii’s most talented culinary artists gathered to raise money for the Hawaii Foodbank Saturday evening.
More than 700 people showed up for the annual “Great Chefs Fight Hunger” culinary fundraiser.
Those who attended were treated to “tongue-melting” food, fine wine and live music throughout the Foodbank’s Mapunapuna warehouse.
“This is a wonderful event, while people are having a great time eating and drinking, they’re helping to feed Hawaii’s hungry because this event is an event that is specifically to feed Hawaii’s hungry,” said Polly Kauahi, the vice president and COO of Hawaii Foodbank.
The money raised for the Foodbank will help provide over 13 million pounds of food to feed 280,000 people.
