Another blow for an embattled charter school in Kalihi.
The charter school commission voted to revoke the charter contract for Halau Lokahi.
The decision to do so came after the school failed to manage its finances.
The school will close on May 29.
There are still about 50 to 60 students attending the school, so the commission released enough money to allow them to finish the rest of the school year.
The school has been plagued by financial problems, and officers from the state attorney general’s office raided the school over questionable spending.
