Emergency crews rescued a 41-year-old woman in East Oahu Tuesday.
The call came in at around 11:41 a.m. from the Makapuu tide pools.
According to Emergency Medical Services, the woman was apparently “washed off the rocks.”
She suffered a compound fracture on her right leg, was airlifted to Sandy Beach and hospitalized in serious condition.
This is the second time an injury was reported in the area in recent days.
On Sunday, a 12-year-old girl suffered a head injury when, according to family members, she was hit by a rogue wave and knocked onto the rocks.
