KHON2 received a rundown Thursday of the City and County of Honolulu’s government-issued credit card system.
The mayor’s office says Kirk Caldwell does not have his own pCard, but that $25,000 in travel expenses for him were charged to one that his office holds.
None were listed as personal expenses.
Honolulu County has 636 active pCards issued, plus more than 100 for the Board of Water Supply.
The county says all of them are set to automatically decline hotel, gas and cash purchases, or anything over $2,500.
In the past five years, no Honolulu County employee has had a pCard removed because of inappropriate purchases.
