An Oahu man accused in the murder of a three-year-old girl pleaded not guilty Thursday.
On May 21, Joshua Kalili, 25, was indicted for second-degree murder and abuse of a household member.
Last October, Styzilee Reyes-Butay was taken to Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center by a family member.
The medical examiner’s office said the girl died from blunt impact to the abdomen and internal bleeding. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Kalili remains in custody at Oahu Community Correctional Center unable to post $500,000 bail.
His trial is set for July.
