Honolulu police are looking for a man who they say stole from three homes on a Kailua street on one night in 2014.
Now, he didn’t show up for his sentencing, so HPD asking for your help in finding him.
Honolulu police are on the search for Elijah Kaawa.
“On October 1, 2014, at about 10:30 p.m., the complainant who lives on Dune Circle heard noises coming from her patio area and observed a male rummaging thorough a beach bag left on the patio area,” said Crimestoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett. “She confronted the male and he fled on foot, and 20 minutes later another complainant on Dune Circle heard noises coming from his den and found a male rummaging through his closet. He confronted the male, struggled with him and chased him.”
Kaawa got away and hit another home on the street before finally getting caught.
He was arrested for burglary, theft, and unlawful entry into a dwelling.
Kaawa is 19 years old, 5′ 10″ and 170 lbs.
He’s now wanted on a $50,000 warrant for not showing up for his sentencing in March 2015.
“He’s known to frequent the Kapolei area,” said Buffett.
