Imagine having a new career in just 12 to 15 months! That’s all it takes to complete a program at Hawaii Medical College. Here with more information on the college, its programs and in particular, their Clinical Medical Assistant Program, are Jeffrey Clifton and Kalae Santiago.
Hawaii Medical College offers three programs: Healthcare Administration, Billing and Coding; Pharmacy Technician; and Clinical Medical Assisting. It takes 12 to 15 months to complete the program including an externship.
Clinical medical assistants assist doctors and patients in physicians’ back offices, clinics, and outpatient departments of hospitals. Medical assistants are also employed in laboratories or other health service areas. They are critical in keeping medical establishments running smoothly and staying organized.
