The first 2015 MLB National League All-Star Voting Ballot update was released today and former Hawaii Rainbow Warrior baseball player and current St. Louis Cardinal Kolten Wong was announced as second in the voting for the second basemen position with 582,238 votes.
Through 46 games, Wong leads the Cardinals with 54 hits, and is second in the NL behind top second basemen vote getter Dee Gordon of the Miami Marlins. Wong has posted a .320 batting average with 22 RBIs and 5 homeruns.
He also had a nine-game consecutive hitting streak recently snapped on May 26 in a 6-4 victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The 2015 MLB All-Star Game will be held July 14 at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Voting ballots will continue up until two weeks before the All-Star Game and will end on July 2.
