A former Radford High School football star was found dead in Nevada Thursday, just days before his graduation.
He was identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Jameson Kawika Pasigan, 18.
According to the National Park Service, Pasigan’s body was recovered near Morning Star Cove on Lake Mohave.
A witness told officials that he had disappeared underwater while swimming across the cove with a friend.
Winds had reached around 20 mph and waves were estimated to be six to 12 inches high. Pasigan was not wearing a life jacket, NPS officials said.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Search and Rescue Dive Team was called in to assist and recovered Pasigan’s body.
Pagisan was a star wide receiver at Radford High School in 2012 and 2013, when he was named the school’s most outstanding wide receiver.
He was also a 2012 1st Team All-Conference and 2013 All Poly Camp (Utah) All-Star.
After Radford, he attended Liberty High School in Las Vegas. He was supposed to graduate on June 10.
