Fourth graders bake sale proceeds benefit UH Cancer Center, Hawaiian Humane Society

A historic donation for the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.

It’s not the amount that makes it special, but the people who are giving it.

Fourth graders Kiyera, Shaylee, Devyn and Kendall are four best friends, classmates and the youngest known donors to the cancer center.

Through a series of bake sales the girls were able to raise $760.

They decided to give the money to the UH Cancer Center in honor of relatives who’ve battled the disease.

“It means alot to us that we’re helping other people and not just spending it on ourselves,” said Devyn Goo.

This isn’t the girls’ only gift. They are also donating a part of their bake sale profits to the Hawaiian Humane Society.
