Olympic Day 2015 was celebrated Saturday evening by a two-time national boxing champion and his local “Pearlside Boxing” business.
Eiichi Jumawan runs Pearlside Boxing and put on a special showcase called “Fight Night 5” at Radford High School.
Jumawan says he encourages his athletes to work hard and become champions in and out of the ring.
Jumawan was also an alternate on the 1976 Olympic U.S. boxing team with Sugar Ray Leonard and Michael and Leon Spinks.
Olympic Day is celebrated in more than 160 countries, and focuses on fair play, respect and sportsmanship.
