Maui police are asking for help finding a 29-year-old missing woman. Jena A.Y. Cayan of Wailuku was last seen early yesterday evening. She may be driving a 2008 green Honda Pilot. If you know where she is contact authorities.

Some overnight closures this week on the H-1 freeway in the Salt Lake and Pearl City area. Three lanes will be closed in the westbound direction between the Radford drive overpass and the Pearl City Waimalu off ramp. This will continue through thursday morning.

Crews are getting back to work today on Kapiolani Boulevard. Expect lane closures in both directions from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Thursday.

The Honolulu Fire Department is asking residents to report anything suspicious after a string of wildfires that may have been intentionally set. Three of them happened yesterday off the H-1 Freeway near Makakilo.

University of Hawaii officials are expected to assess the gravel road to the summit of Mauna Kea on Hawaii Island today. A mile of the road from the Visitor Center to the summit has been closed to traffic because protestors blocked construction crews for the 30-meter telescope.

On Kauai, the solid waste division will be delivering 64-gallon carts this week to those who asked to exchange their 96-gallon carts for the smaller ones. Make sure to empty out, wash and rinse your old carts..and put them upside down. The exchange process should take about 3 months.

A reminder, ban on plastic bag ban starts this Wednesday. Here’s what will be allowed after the law takes effect: Compostable plastic bags which are biodegradable, paper bags, or reuseable bags.
