The Honolulu prosecutor’s office has declined a case against a Honolulu police officer.
Alan Ahn was arrested on Monday, July 13, and charged on suspicion of abusing a family member.
However, prosecutors declined the case, saying the victim was non-cooperative.
The 54-year-old has been with HPD for nine years and is assigned to the department’s traffic division.
HPD officials previously told KHON2 criminal and administrative investigations were opened and Ahn’s police powers were restricted.
No word yet if that has changed.
