Ukulele players from Hawaii and all over the world gathered at Kapiolani Park to show off their skills at the 45th annual Ukulele Festival Sunday.
The event featured the Roy Sakuma 700-piece ukulele band of mostly children, and of course Jake Shimabukuro.
The international line-up also included a first-time ever appearance by “Ukuleles for Peace,” a group from Israel dedicated to spreading their message through the instrument.
Those who attended also enjoyed the ukulele displays, giveaways and lessons.
The event is known to be the first and largest ukulele festival in the world.
