Karsten Thot Bridge repair starts Monday

KHON2 first told you about plans to repair the Karsten Thot Bridge in Wahiawa last September.

The work is finally going to start on Monday.

Crews will work from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. They won’t have to close any lanes then.

Crews will return at night, and there could be full closures of the bridge or one lane closed from 9 p.m – 4 or 5 a.m.

Truck drivers should know that the height clearance will be lowered from 14 feet 4 inches to 12 feet until the end of the year.

The nearly $8 million dollar project, which is mostly federally funded, will last till at least next April.
