Honolulu police arrested four suspects Thursday in an ongoing murder investigation.

On Friday, three of them were charged in connection with the murder of a Wahiawa man.

Anjelita Rasa and Shaun Branco-Taguchi are charged with second degree murder.

Shane Rodrigues is charged with being an accomplice to murder.

All are currently being held at HPD’s main cellblock.

A fourth person who was arrested for hindering prosecution, Jessica Samson, was released pending investigation.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, June 23, William Aki, 65, was found dead inside a home in Whitmore Village.

“Police responded here for a welfare check, family members arrived at about the same time. Police were led into the house by the family members and at that time they found the body of a male in his 60s with suspicious injuries,” Walter Calistro, Honolulu Police Department, said at the time.

Police went to the home after finding Aki’s torched car near Makua Caves in Waianae earlier that day.

Rasa was featured on Hawaii’s Most Wanted in October 2012.
