It’s a celebration of one of Oahu’s most beloved fruits.
The first ever Mango Jam Honolulu is happening tonight and tomorrow on the grounds of Honolulu Hale.
Misty Kela’i, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts, joins us in studio with information on the event. Plus we’ve got Aloha Friday music from Blayne Asing … one of the performers at the Mango Jam this weekend.
According to Kela’i, there will be a Mango themed art show on display in the Honolulu Hale courtyard. There will also be a recollection on stage “Mango Days” featuring Brother Noland and Friends in the Mission Memorial Auditorium at 6:30pm Friday and Saturday. You’ll also find ono Mango themed food and refreshments, some very interesting original snacks, vendors selling crafts, and of course, jamming on the main stage: Kapena, Kapala, Taiko Arts, Lehua & Shawn, BBTS Keiki Fire knife Champion, and so much more!
