A major infusion of supplies are on the way to Kauai in preparation for Kilo.
Costco Iwilei in Honolulu, Maui and Kona, which are the higher volume locations in the state, loaded about a dozen shipping containers Saturday.
Costco Iwilei alone says it’s sending 6,000 packs of toilet paper and paper towels, and more than 6,700 packs of water.
“Well, no it’s not something we normally do, but under the situation, we are gonna do it, certainly it’s important with the concern,” said Costco Iwilei general manager Jaime Havron.
Havron says Pasha Hawaii and Young Brothers are helping with the shipping.
The supplies should be available at Costco on Kauai Tuesday morning.
