Last week, the city said it wanted your input on installing a new protected bike lane in Honolulu.
On Tuesday, many residents showed up to learn more about the proposed bike lane on South Street in Kakaako.
If everything works out, the bike lane would run mauka to makai on South Street, then connect with the King Street protected lane.
Several people at the meeting opposed the idea citing a loss of parking and possibly an entire lane of traffic.
The city says the project is just a proposal, and is asking for additional input.
