Strum on down to the 10th Annual Duke’s Ukes Contest

Calling all ukulele players! Duke’s Waikiki is holding its annual Duke’s Ukes Contest and is looking for talented players to audition!

There are two divisions:  Ukulele Instrumental Division and Ukulele & Vocals Division. Contestants may only enter one division.

Participants who play a traditional piece of Hawaiian music will be eligible to receive the Ho`okahiko Mele Award for honoring and perpetuating the Hawaiian culture.

You could win Kamaka Ukuleles, Duke’s Waikiki merchandise, gift certificates and more!

There are two ways to enter; choose one: e-mail a video clip or link to video to tanya@dukeswaikiki.com by Thursday, September 10. Or, attend the live audition on Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Duke’s Waikiki. All contestants must fill out an application.

The contest is on Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Duke’s Waikiki. It’s free to audition and to watch the contest.
