Honolulu police have reopened Aloha Oe Drive in Maunawili following a 12-inch water main break.
The road was reopened after Board of Supply crews spent hours Saturday night and Sunday repairing the water main.
The break was first reported at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at 1276 Aloha Oe Drive, closing both lanes between Kika Street and Lopaka Place.
Forty-four customers who affected by the break had their service restored at 12 p.m. Sunday.
The Board of Water Supply provided a water wagon at the intersection of Kika St and Kika Place to provide customers with an alternate water source.
This 12-inch water main was originally installed in 1963.
