The Hawaii Food and Wine Festival is back and celebrating its fifth anniversary.
Chefs from all over the world are taking part in this two-week event.
Wednesday night’s celebration had chefs putting their spin on a Hawaiian luau in Kakaako.
“We have four… contemporary chefs partnered with traditional Hawaiian restaurants and they’re paired up so you have Hawaiian laulau paired with a contemporary version of that so everyone has a different dish and everyone has a different product,” said the festival’s director, Denise Yamaguchi.
The Hawaii Food and Wine Festival runs through Sunday with events spread across Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island.
Overall, more than 10,000 people are expected to attend.
