The ACLU filed a federal lawsuit challenging the homeless sweeps in Honolulu. More details are coming out later Wednesday morning. We’ll keep you posted.

Brown water advisories are issued for Honolua Bay on Maui, and the east and north shores of Kauai, from Kalapaki to Hanalei. You’re advised to stay out of the ocean in those areas.

Potholes are popping up all over the state after yesterday’s rain.

Be careful if you’re heading out on the ocean. A small craft advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Department of Education is waiting for the governor’s approval to reallocate $20-million state funds. It was initially set aside for school improvement projects, but the DOE wants to cool classrooms instead. We’ll follow up and let you know what happens.

Police need your help finding a missing person. Thirty eight-year-old Harold Connell was last seen  early Monday morning and police say he may be staying in Waikiki. Connell is 6-foot-1 and weighs about 170 pounds. If you have any information call (808) 951-8300.

The East-West Center awards navigator and president of the Polynesian Voyaging Society Nainoa Thompson the Asia Pacific Community Building award for bridging nations. It honors his dedication to strengthening bonds between Asia, the Pacific and the US.
