Waianae voted into top five of Cover2 Power Poll for first time this season

Following a 71-28 victory over Farrington last Thursday night at Aloha Stadium, the defending state champions of Mililani received three first place votes, and now hold sole possession of the number three spot in the latest Cover2 & Geico Power Poll in Division I.

The Trojans, who for the last two weeks were tied with undefeated Kahuku at third, still looks up at Saint Louis and Punahou as the one and two respectively, with the Red Raiders ranked fourth.

For the first time this season, the Seariders of Waianae were voted into the top five. Big Blue, under first-year head coach Walter Young has won five straight games since falling to 6th-ranked Kamehameha on opening weekend.

The Crusaders and Buffanblu will square off this Friday night at Aloha Stadium in one of the most anticipated ILH games in quite some time.

Kapaa, who collected 11 first-place votes, remains at the top in the latest Division II Power Poll, followed by Radford who received nine first-place votes.

ILH undefeated Damien is ranked third, followed by the reigning OIA Champions of Nanakuli and unbeaten Konawaena.
