HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union Senior Vice-President, Scott Kaulukukui and attorney Scott Suzuki talk about tools that HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union has to save money and set up a future of your special needs keiki. In fact, they are following the proposed regulation implementing a new federal law authorizing states to offer A.B.L.E. (Achieving a Better Life Experience) accounts. The account is designed to enable people with disabilities and their families to save for and pay for disability-related expenses. The A.B.L.E. account is modeled after the 529 college savings accounts offering tax advantages for people with disabilities.
