Renowned chef Sam Choy has a new endeavor, it’s not food, but it does belong in the kitchen.
He has partnered with artist Brad “Tiki-Shark” Parker for a new product line of kitchen towels and accessories.
His line called “Sam Choy’s Hawaii Kitchen” launched this weekend in Kona, it’s scheduled to hit stores in spring of next year.
“Well we have about 16 kitchen apparels, right now we just got kitchen towels, from shoulder towels, to regular just scrubbing towels, mittens, aprons to come,” said chef Choy.
“So I ended up having to design 16 towels and a color palette and that would all match together, so it was a huge designing job,” said designer Parker.
Part of the proceeds from the launch parties will be donated to the Hawaii Island HIV/Aids Foundation.
