Christmas in Waikiki now comes complete with a huge sand sculpture of Santa and Mrs. Claus posing for a selfie.
“Santa’s Selfie” took about two weeks and 24 tons of sand for Florida-based Sandsational Sand Sculpting to create the sculpture located in the Sheraton Waikiki.
It’s one of two holiday sand sculptures. The first one, located in the hotel’s main lobby and completed on Nov. 9 using eight tons of sand, is titled “Santa’s Serenade,” and features Santa Claus playing the ukulele and singing to Mrs. Claus.
The sculptures will stay in the hotel through the new year.
