Travelers warned about limited airport parking during Thanksgiving

The Hawaii Department of Transportation Airports Division is alerting travelers of limited parking at the Honolulu International Airport’s public parking lots during Thanksgiving weekend due to an increased amount of air travel.

There are nearly 5,200 parking spaces available to the public at the airport. During typical holiday weekends, the Interisland Parking Structure (Lot M) and the Overseas Parking Structure (Lot D) will fill up first. Travelers also have the option to park in the International Parking Structure (Lot A) and the Economy Parking (Lot B).  Click here for a map of these public parking lots.

Travelers are advised to allow for additional walking time to the ticket lobbies, as some lots are further from the main terminal than others. For more information on each lot, please visit http://hawaii.gov/hnl/airport-parking.

Travelers are encouraged to get dropped off at the airport by a friend or relative or schedule a shuttle, taxi or another method of transportation.

Travelers are also reminded that as of Tuesday, Dec. 1, the daily maximum parking rate at the Honolulu International Airport will increase by $3. The maximum rate for 24 hours of parking will change from $15 to $18.
