Skater Kristi Yamaguchi and friends will be performing Friday and Saturday at the Blaisdell Arena in “Golden Moment Hawaii.”
Yamaguchi and co-headliner Brian Boitano will be part of a benefit program that will include fellow Olympic gold medalists Shizuka Arakawa and the dance team of Meryl Davis and Charlie White, as well as world champions Miki Ando, Kurt Browning and Yuka Sato, and national champions Jeremy Abbott and Takeshi Honda.
Live music accompaniment will be provided by Aiden James, Manoa DNA and Na Leo.
During a skate-through at the arena Thursday, Yamaguchi said “tickets are still available, so come see this unique skating show, all to benefit reading programs that we’re bringing into schools in Hawaii. And we’re expanding, hoping to continue our work here, so thank you for the support.”
Both shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $50-$100, with group sales being managed by Hawaii Opera Theatre at (808) 593-2468.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone 800-745-3000, the Blaisdell Center Box Office and all Walmart outlets.
