AN EARTHQUAKE WITH A PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE OF 6.9 OCCURRED OFF THE COAST OF JALISCO, MEXICO AT 1807 UTC ON THURSDAY JANUARY 21 2016.

BASED ON ALL AVAILABLE DATA, THERE IS NO TSUNAMI THREAT FROM THIS EARTHQUAKE.
