An attempted bank robbery suspect who’s been on the run since New Year’s Eve is in custody Wednesday morning.
Police say just after 10 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, a man walked into a Mapunapuna bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money.
The suspect took off without any money and before officers arrived. The suspect was identified Tuesday and arrested for theft.
He was charged with theft. His bail was set at $1,000.
