OCCC extended furlough inmate John Luna misses check-in

Oahu Community Correctional Center extended furlough inmate John Luna, 36, failed to report to Module 20 for his scheduled check-in Wednesday afternoon.

Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility, but must check in at various times throughout the month.

State Sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified.

Luna is serving time for Burglary 1, Robbery 2, Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information, Possession of a Detrimental Drug 3, and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia. Escape 2 is expected to be added to his charges. He was tentatively approved for parole and awaiting the parole board to set the release date.

Luna is classified as community custody which is the lowest custody level.

He is 5’11” tall and weighs 200 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Luna is urged to call 911.
