The Hawaii High School Athletic Association marks its 60th anniversary of the OC16 Boys Basketball State Championships beginning on Wednesday Feb. 17 at McKinley and Moanalua High School.
The Iolani Raiders claim the top seed in the Division I tournament, making their 24th team appearance and 12th appearance as the top seed. Senior guard, Robby Mann, and junior forward, Hugh Hogland, lead the Raiders and both average double digits for points per game.
The defending state champion, Kalaheo, follows Iolani, claiming the number two seed in the tournament. The Mustangs are making their 32nd appearance in the state tournament and eighth appearance as the number two seed.
In the Division II tournament, St. Francis takes the top seed and is making their fourth appearance in the battle for the state title. The Roosevelt Rough Riders claims the number two seed in tournament and is making their third appearance in the Division II tournament.
The Division I and Division II State Championship games will be held on Saturday Feb. 20 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
