The University of Hawaii baseball team will depart to Moraga, Calif. to play their first road game of the season against University of San Francisco on Feb. 26-28.
The Rainbow Warriors opened up the first two weeks of their season in Hawaii splitting their opening weekend at UH-Hilo and falling to New Mexico, 1-3, last weekend at Les Murakami Stadium.
Hawaii is led by senior shortstop, Jacob Sheldon-Collins, who leads the team with a .385 average and shares the team-high five RBI. Also helping the Rainbow Warriors out is senior center fielder, Matt LoCoco, who has already hit two triples a home run. Taking charge of the pitching mound will be junior, Brendan Hornung, who has pitched a team-high 11 innings, striking out nine and walking six.
Hawaii will face USF for the first time four years, leading the overall series 15-12 against the Dons.
The Rainbow Warriors will play the Dons in a Friday morning opener with first pitch set for 10 a.m. HT. Saturday’s game will be 12 p.m. HT and Sunday’s game at 11 a.m HT. at Louis Guisto Field.
