Hawaii primary political season in full swing

The Hawaii Republican and Democratic parties will be choosing their preferred presidential candidates in March.

The Republican primary will be held Tuesday, March 8, between 6-8 p.m.

The Democratic presidential preference poll will start at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26.

The two events are open to all Hawaii voters with a photo ID. You must attend in person in your home precinct.

Delegates from each party will represent their particular chosen candidates at their national conventions. The Republican National Convention will be held July 18-21 in Cleveland and the Democratic National Convention the week of July 25 in Philadelphia.
