Hawaiian Telcom will temporarily close a short stretch of the single northbound (Haleiwa-bound) lane of Kamehameha Highway between Emerson Road and Haleiwa Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Technicians will be replacing cables that serve area businesses and residents. Traffic control will be on site to direct a contraflow lane using the single southbound lane and to assure the safety of pedestrians and motorists.
Work was scheduled during this time to avoid rush hour traffic and should be completed before 3:30 p.m. so the northbound lane can be re-opened for afternoon traffic.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible or anticipate delays.
