Exactly one week after having their historic season come to an end, the future of the University of Hawaii Men’s program is taking shape.
Leland Green, a 6-foot-2 guard from Redondo Beach, California, announced his verbal commitment to play for the Rainbow Warriors on Sunday.
” I felt like it was a great opportunity for me. I feel like the coaching staff will help me become a better player and person” Green told KHON2 Sports Director Rob DeMello.
Green, who was an AAU teammate of UH signee Drew Buggs on the Earl Watson Elite team averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists per game as a senior at Redondo Union High School, earning first team all California Interscholastic Federation honors.
Green, who was also being recruited by New Mexico, Nevada, UTEP, Northern Arizona, and Southern Utah can make his commitment official on the spring letter of intent signing day, April 13th.
