The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office has identified the motorcyclist who died Sunday after being transported to Castle Medical Center in critical condition following a crash on Likelike Highway.
He was Joshua Noz, 28, of Aiea.
It is unknown if he was wearing a helmet. The specific cause of death is still pending.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. March 27 in the Kaneohe-bound direction on Likelike Highway.
Police say that Noz, riding a 2014 Honda motorcycle, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he exited onto the runaway ramp prior to Kahekili Highway. He then lost control and crashed.
This is the 10th traffic fatality this year, compared to 13 the same time last year.
Honolulu police are asking for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and are advised to call the Traffic Division at 723-3413.
