Kapolei High counselor indicted for allegedly soliciting minor for sex

A Kapolei High School counselor has been indicted for allegedly soliciting a child for prostitution.

Kendrick Padilla was arrested on Tuesday, May 3, but released pending further investigation.

He was then indicted by a grand jury on Thursday, May 12.

Padilla’s bail was set at $10,000 and he’s been ordered not to contact the child.

The Department of Education says the 39-year-old has been with the school since 2009.

He was placed on paid leave after his arrest.

We reached out to the DOE to see if his status has changed but have yet to hear back.
