A man accused of driving into a group of people in Ewa Beach has been indicted on charges including attempted murder.
Malik Morton, 20, was indicted Wednesday on one count of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and one count of first-degree terroristic threatening.
Morton is accused of intentionally plowing into a group of people on Fort Weaver Road, going back and forth several times, at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17.
Court documents claim the incident stemmed from an argument outside a house party that turned physical.
An 18-year-old woman, identified in court documents as Alisha Brown, was hospitalized in extremely critical condition. A 17-year-old male was hospitalized in stable condition.
Morton turned himself into police custody on Thursday, May 19. The car, a silver Hyundai sedan with the Hawaii license plate SPR 609, was picked up in Whitmore Village the following night.
Morton’s bail is confirmed at $1 million.
