The City Department of Parks and Recreation says yet another park has been hit by vandals.
Officials say park staff discovered the damage Wednesday morning at Kahuku District Park.
It appears someone used a sledgehammer to damage and destroy the sink, toilet, urinal, and a number of pipes in the men’s restroom.
A criminal property damage report has been filed with the Honolulu Police Department.
Officials say maintenance support services has been called to initiate repairs, though costs are not known at this time.
The city continues to ask park users to call police if they see anyone committing an act of vandalism at a city park.
“Whomever senselessly destroyed this bathroom is taking from the Oahu families who enjoy this park and no longer have a place to use the restroom, and costing all Oahu taxpayers money,” a city spokesman said in a statement.
