Former University of Hawaii defensive lineman and assistant coach Tony Tuioti was back in Hawaii this week clad in Maize and Blue.
It was a preview of September, when his Michigan Wolverines host his alma mater in Ann Arbor.
“It’ll definitely be an emotional roller coaster for me.” Tuioti said.
“The coaches at The University of Hawaii are my brothers. For three hours we’re going to compete and then we’re going to go back to being family again.”
The current University of Michigan Director of Player Personnel helped host two camps with Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh and other Michigan staff members on Oahu Sunday and Monday.
“Coach Harbaugh is one of the best of the best in the business, and I’m just glad I have a chance to be a part of the staff.” Tuioti said.
“To come home just makes it that much more special there’s no better place than being here in Hawai’i.”
The Rainbow Warriors and Wolverines will face off in front of a national television audience on ESPN at 6:00am HST Saturday, September 3rd.
