Honolulu drivers fall short in nationwide ranking

When it comes to good drivers, Honolulu doesn’t appear to have a lot of them.

Allstate Insurance Company released its annual America’s Best Drivers report Thursday.

Out of 200 major cities in the U.S., Honolulu is the 137th safest driving city, based on crash frequency.

We did improve from last year, when the city ranked 150 out of 200.

Allstate says the average driver in Honolulu gets into a crash every 8.4 years.

So which city fared the best? Brownsville, Texas was deemed safest, followed by Kansas City.
