Police investigate a dozen cases against Waipahu travel agency

The Honolulu Police Department has opened more cases against a Waipahu travel agency.

We first told you last month that customers of Diplomat Travel and Tours reached out to Action Line for help, claiming the owner took their money but never paid for their plane tickets to the Philippines.

As of June 20, only one customer had filed a report with Honolulu police.

A department spokeswoman told us Thursday that they’re now looking into about a dozen felony theft cases.

Through her attorney, agency owner Elma Pacleb said she was trying to raise $100,000 to pay back her customers.

There’s been no word yet on her progress.
