HBA’s first local bonsai exhibit

This Sunday, the Hawaii Bonsai Association is holding its first local bonsai exhibit and fair. Warren Yamamoto, President of Hawaii Bonsai Association, joined us this morning with more about the event.

The HBA was founded to promote bonsai in Hawaii  through education and publicity. Interested persons can sign up for their fall classes at the Bonsai Exhibit and Fair this coming Sunday. There will be a display of finished bonsai and demonstrations on how to create a bonsai tree.

The bonsai exhibit and fair is this Sunday at the Washington Middle School cafeteria, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be a display of about 25 plants, and demonstrations by our members on how they create their bonsai trees. HBA is hosting this local show to bring together the local bonsai community. The public is welcome to visit and it is free admission and parking.
