Food connoisseurs, chocolate lovers, and filmgoers mark your calendars for August 19-21, 2016, when Hawaii Theatre Center presents SCREEN CUISINE: A FOOD FILM FESTIVAL. The festival showcases four classic food films over a three-day period at the historic Hawaii Theatre.
SCREEN CUISINE is a community event held in partnership with local downtown restaurants, including Palate Craft & Eatery, Restaurant Epic, The Pig & The Lady, and Fête. Patrons can participate by purchasing a package with sponsoring restaurants, which will include a progressive meal designed to enhance the movie experience and a movie ticket. As part of the package, patrons can partake in special dessert offerings at Cake Envy after the movie screening (Friday and Saturday only). A make-your-own chocolate bar class at Madre Chocolate will also be part of the weekend’s events. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the Hawaii Theatre Center. Patrons can purchase tickets for the films without participating in the restaurant packages.
