Career Moves: UHCC students’ NASA launch

Real-world hands-on experience. Project-based learning takes a big, giant step forward at the UH Community Colleges. While most students learn to do experiments in the classroom putting to test theoretical principles, a group of community college students developed scientific experiments to be tested in outer space, taking the “hands-on” hallmark of the community colleges to new heights. Here with me today is Marcus Yamaguchi who is part of the faculty-student enterprise called Project Imua, which just launched a scientific payload at NASAʻs Wallop Flight Facility in Virginia.
