Leilehua was established in 1924 and moved to its current location in 1949.
The “Mules” mascot is a nod to the Army with Schofield Barracks nearby.
The school’s colors, green and gold, were chosen to represent the pineapple.
Their stadium is named after proud grad and former UH athletics director Hugh Yoshida.
Other alumni include former UH quarterback Bryant Moniz, NFL draft first-round pick Al Harris, and Hawaii state senator Donovan Dela Cruz.
