Honolulu police are looking for a man who fired three shots at a car on Metcalf Street in Manoa.
The incident was reported at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near University Avenue.
Police say it apparently started with two men searching for a stolen car. They confronted other men on Metcalf Street and when they tried to follow what they believe to be was their car. Police say a man got out and fired three shots at their vehicle, a gunshot apparently hitting a telephone pole and another one apparently hitting the house. Police could not locate the third bullet at the time.
No one was injured in the incident.
Crime scene investigators spent several hours at the house on Metcalf where they recovered one of the bullets. A utility pole has a mark on it from a second bullet.
Police say the suspect is believed to be about 5-foot-6, weighing 130-140 pounds.
The case is now classified as an attempted murder.
