A new lawsuit has been filed by a man sickened by hepatitis A.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff from Hauula says he caught the virus while on a Hawaiian Airlines flight and is still recovering.
Two flight attendants tested positive for hepatitis A, but the lawsuit is not against the airline.
The defendants are Genki Sushi, which served the tainted scallops linked to the outbreak, as well as distributor Koha Foods and supplier Sea Port Products.
A class action lawsuit was also filed last month on behalf of people who ate at Genki Sushi and had to get vaccinated.
